Marking 40 Years of St Oswald’s Hospice on Percy Street

It’s great when a collaboration comes together, and I’m very pleased to have played a very small part in making this one happen!

A few years ago I acquired this property for a client. It sits in a very prominent position in Newcastle city centre, opposite the entrance to Eldon Square and Haymarket Bus Station. Because it’s so visible, the gable wall has always been an excellent spot for advertising. Recent ca

mpaigns have included a Sam Fender mural, which you may well have seen on your way up to St James’ Park.

As some of you know, I’m very proud to act for St Oswald’s Hospice. For 40 years St Oswald’s Hospice has provided specialist palliative and end of life care, to adults, young adults and children living with life-limiting conditions across the North East. Its work covers inpatient care, outpatient and day services, and support for families when they need it most.

With St Oswald’s Hospice celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, I was able to bring the two together. The wall now carries a mural marking four decades of compassionate care, in one of the busiest spots in the city.

A big thank you to my client for supporting the idea, and to everyone involved at Global Street Art! If you’re passing Percy Street, have a look! It looks great!

St Oswald's Hospice relies on the generosity of the local community to keep its care free for everyone who needs it. If you’d like to support their work, you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/eY5nDXFt
